Temp Hold at Ecdysiast Arts Museum

Combining a wide array of nuanced rhythmic structures and complex melodic compositions, Temp Hold is a Chicago based ensemble that seeks to subvert the traditional expectations of a “rock band” while still acknowledging and working within that framework. Utilizing the traditional three piece instrumentation of guitar, bass, and drums, along with vocals, the group weaves together everything from delicate math jazz to driving bedroom grunge, and everything in between. Though no two performances are likely to be identical, the group has an overarching sound that is both distinctly their own while also difficult to put your finger on.
